Oct. 15 – Nov. 15, 2021.
Logan Center for the Arts, University of Chicago and other venues throughout Chicago.
Winner of the 2020 Italian Council National Award, this project is funded by the Italian Council (Italian Ministry of Culture) and created in partnership with Centro Itard Lombardia srl (Milan) and the Open Practice Committee (OPC), Department of Visual Arts (DOVA), University of Chicago, and the Gray Center for Arts and Inquiry, University of Chicago.
Summoned via social media and in collaboration with a number of alternative spaces serving as “outposts” throughout the city of Chicago, the public is invited to follow a link to Fantin’s website where they can submit recordings in which they narrate a dream having to do with the past, present, and/or the future of humankind.
Dreams will be continuously broadcast for the duration of the installation from a speaker system positioned within a public exhibition space inside the Logan Center for the Arts at the University of Chicago. Admission free and open to the public.
